Chapter 1:
Finally Facing the Fear
Finally I am fearless.
Living a fearless life allows me to
participate in the world with wide eyes, attentively listening for what I need to hear with an open
heart. A fearless life helps me see all
of my surroundings in vivid techno colors and it provides me with solutions quickly and
with much clarity. I hear and see opportunity everywhere in my fearless life. Being free from fear helps me see all the incredible potential in everyone I meet.
My fearless
days are filled with love and hope and excitement. Being free of fear helps me
to be so very grateful for everything I have. I celebrate my blessings all day long in a
fearless state of mind. There is peace
in my heart. My dreams have either come true or on there way to becoming a reality at this
very moment. I am finally fearless.
Some
years ago, 35 to be exact… I was a bright bouncy 10 year old little girl. One carefree
beautiful July summer day I was outside playing in the Midwest sunshine. My toes were covered in warm sand as I was
playing in my sandbox. The breeze was
blowing through my long brown hair. Colorful sand toys were around me and I was set
for an afternoon of pure bliss. Across the yard, my older brother, a
fast pitch little league player was tossing a hardball up in the air and
hitting grounders with his bat. I was not
really paying much attention to him although I could hear his bat hitting the ball over
and over again from the short distance between us. As moments passed quickly my
creation in the sandbox was coming alive. My “mini city” started taking shape in the sand with its little figurines standing on tall mountains and pieces of grass outlining the castle that was shaping up. I heard my brother
fondly call out to me as he often did, Of course I had no interest in playing
catch with him as I was busy you see, just being with me and enjoying this
perfect moment in the sandbox. No dishes or laundry to do here, no chores, just me and my imagination. “No thanks,” I replied. “Come on, it will be fun,” he continued. “NO,” I said a little more firmly. By this time he was slightly irritated
with me, and seemed to not understand how much fun I was having on my own working away at building my dream home in the sand. What happened in the next instant, would change everything as I once knew it.....
“Hey Sis, Why don’t you come and play some
catch with me?”
